Hello. My name is Kendall Shamas and I am excited to be starting my tenth year at SAOPCS in a new position, Dean of Middle School and Auxiliary Programs. In 2006, my husband, Mark, and I moved to The Woodlands from New Orleans, Louisiana. We have two children, Mark Jr. and Sissy, both graduates of SAOPCS. Mark is a senior at Strake Jesuit and Sissy a sophomore at St. Agnes Academy. I attended Catholic high school at Ursuline Academy, and graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of St. Thomas. I am certified to teach pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. I have eighteen years of experience in education. I have taught both second and third grades and have been the Instructional Technologist for SAOPCS for the last eight years. Additionally, I am the Assistant Curriculum Director for the Debusk Enrichment Center for Academically Talented Scholars (DECATS). It is truly a blessing to be a part of the
ministry of Catholic education and I am looking forward to a wonderful year of serving you and your children as we continue to grow together as Disciples of Christ.
