Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,
Good afternoon! Your amazing teachers have already begun planning for our distance learning which will begin next week. I am meeting with the faculty and staff on Monday morning to review expectations for communication and how this method of education will work. This is easier for our middle school students who are accustomed to Google classroom but a new realm for our elementary and early childhood students. I have every confidence our teachers will be able to pull this off beautifully --- but also expect a few hiccups and appreciate your patience as we all learn together. Many teachers expressed the need for students to have their textbooks to help in this process. Some teachers, especially in our early childhood and elementary grades, are putting together packets to send home. The school will be open at the following times to pick up textbooks / materials:
Monday, March 16th from 1pm – 3pm OR
Tuesday, March 17th from 9am – 11am
I know it would be impossible to pick times that would work for everyone. If you are unable to make these times work, please consider reaching out to school friends to see if they can gather items for you and then you can arrange a pick-up. If this is also not an option, please let your teacher know. This is a time for parents to collect these materials and not a time to conference with teachers as they are busy preparing for the days ahead. Teachers will communicate with you via e-mail by Monday afternoon to share information on how they will be conducting their distance learning.
As always, I cannot thank you enough for your support, patience and understanding.
Only by His Grace,
Veronica Tucker
Principal
