SAOPCS Students Receive Awards

7th graders Austin Brauweiler and Blake Perry were among a select group of Texas students recognized at the Duke TIP State Recognition Ceremony at Texas A&M University on May12. The boys qualified to take the ACT and SAT through the Duke TIP program. Their scores on these college entrance exams were higher than 50% of High School Juniors and Seniors taking the tests. In addition, Blake earned a Grand Recognition award for his test scores which placed him in the top 3% of Duke TIP participants nationwide.
