Students Advance in KofC Poster Contest

Congratulations to the St Anthony School students for their success in the Knights of Columbus Substance Abuse Poster contest from Red Ribbon Week last October. After winning at the division and then Galveston-Houston Diocesan levels, the four SAOPCS winners were judged at the Texas State level competition in April, and the two first place winners have advanced to the National competition. The Texas State results were:

Alcohol Awareness:
Age 8-11 Grant Guidry 1^st Place
Age 12-14 Elizabeth Shamas 1^st Place
Age 12-14 Zachary Fishman 3^rd Place

Drug Awareness
Age 8-11 Austin Brauweiler 2^nd Place

Having two posters from SAOP go to National Competition and having all four posters place as State is a first for our Parish!

The four recipients will be honored at the Knights' annual banquet held in June.
