Dear Parents of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, as well as all Archdiocesan Catholic schools, will be closed March 16th - 20th. Our hope and prayer is that this measure will support our community in the ongoing effort of containing the Coronavirus. Additionally, all extracurricular activities are also cancelled through March 20th. Our hope is that by making this decision now, we will help to slow the spread of COVID-19 and assist in preserving the capacity of our hospitals and medical care facilities.
During this upcoming week, our teachers will be in communication with you. Our faculty and staff will be on campus on Monday as we work together to create distance learning programs permitting academic instruction to continue. Please be looking for an e-mail to come from your teachers on Monday with how this information will be relayed as it will differ for each grade level. I also ask for your patience with myself and our teachers as we are all working through unchartered territory.
Middle School field trips have been cancelled for this week. The 8th grade Washington, D. C. trip has been moved to April 27th – April 30th. The 7th grade Sea World trip has been moved to April 29th – May 1st. We are waiting to hear back for our new dates for the 6th grade T-Bar-M field trip.
Throughout next week, I will continue to be in communication with the Archdiocese who is communicating regularly with local health officials. The top concern of all involved is the safety and well-being of our students, staff and community. Thank you for your patience and support as we all work together to keep everyone safe. Please continue to pray for all impacted by COVID-19.
Only by His Grace,
Veronica Tucker
