Girl Scouts honor SAOPCS

Girl Scout Troop 11697 presented each homeroom teacher at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School a beautiful plant to "green up" their classrooms. The girls in the troop have been together since kindergarten and are presently attending the eighth grade at SAOPCS. In working toward their Silver Award, they completed a leadership journey called "Breathe" which concluded with a service project. They chose SAOPCS to be the recipient of plants in hand-decorated pots that would not only bring beauty to each classroom but will also remind each student of the importance of caring for the world we live in and the air we breathe.
