Jason Rocha who is running for the Woodlands Township position 5 speaks with St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Middle School students on the subject of community service and the need for each person to participate in helping his fellow man. “After a yearlong deployment in Baghdad, Iraq, Jason began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and in 2009 was elected to the Board of Directors for Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity. After completing his time in the Army, Jason returned to The Woodlands and enrolled at the University of Houston, studying economics and political science and will graduate in December 2013.” (taken from his bio). Jason’s message was not about his successes, but about his calling to serve.
