Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year. Our school wide theme this year is “Rise Up.” We are all to “Rise Up” to the challenge of building a culture of discipleship at SAOP, by helping one another and being more Christ-like towards each other. For this reason, I am drawn back to St. Anthony of Padua School and the community. I cannot believe that this will be my eighth year as the Learning Advisor at St. Anthony of Padua. I am looking forward to providing students and teachers with the best academic support that they may need to better service our students.
I would like to take this time to tell you a little bit about myself. I moved to The Woodlands from New Orleans eleven years ago. I am originally from Lakeland, FL where I attended Catholic elementary, middle and high school, and ultimately earned a B.S. from Loyola University in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. from the University of New Orleans in Special Education. I have taught for twenty-one years, twelve of which have been at St. Anthony of Padua. My experience ranges from Pre-K through 8th grade. I held a position at the New Orleans School Board as an Area III Facilitator for the Special Education Department and am currently the Learning Advisor at St. Anthony of Padua. I hold a Texas certification in Elementary Ed. Grades 1-8 and Special Education grades 1-12. I earned my Catechist Certification after many classes and a lot of hard work. I am fluent in Spanish and have worked with many of our Spanish-speaking students to help ease their transition into our community. My husband and I have two wonderful children, Sophia age 19 and George age 15.
This year we will continue to encourage “Discipleship” in all we do. This includes “Rising Up” and meeting the needs of all of God’s children by providing them with the best possible learning environment that we have to offer at St. Anthony of Padua School. We should all strive to be more Christ-like towards each other by solving any issues with love and understanding. In
closing, I want you to know that your child’s well- being always comes first. My job is to support your child in the classroom. Parents are always welcome to call (281) 296-0300 or e-mail me (

Sincerely,
