The School Advisory Committee and its two subcommittees, Finance and Marketing & Development, are looking for volunteers to help lead our School into the future. Information on the roles of the groups, length of terms, etc. is listed below. We ask that you prayerfully consider offering your time and talent to serve your school. If you feel God’s call to serve, please submit a letter of interest addressed to Fr. Tom and Mrs. Nunez by Wednesday, May 8, 2013. These may be dropped off in the school office or emailed to [email protected]. Letters of interest will be reviewed and appointments to the SAC and its subcommittees will be announced in June. School Advisory Committee (SAC)
What is it? The School Advisory Committee, a committee appointed by the Parish Education Council, works to further the advancement of Catholic education for our children by providing leadership, direction, and support to the Pastor and the Administration. Areas of advisement include: general planning, policy development, budgeting, marketing, fundraising, program development, and facilities planning and management.
What is the length of term? Candidates should serve on the committee for 3 years and be able to attend monthly meetings.
Finance Committee
What is it? The Finance Subcommittee oversees the financial affairs of the school and provides financial guidance to the school administration. The committee’s responsibilities include reviewing the budget prepared by the school administration, monitoring the budget, and recommending adjustments to maintain a balanced budget. The committee also oversees the school’s Endowment fund and maintains open communication with the Parish Finance Council.
What is length of term? Candidates should serve on the committee for 1-3 years and be able to attend monthly meetings.
Marketing & Development (M&D) Committee
What is it? The Marketing & Development Subcommittee is responsible for developing and maintaining an annual marketing plan, implementing the various marketing strategies that are developed in the marketing plan, and providing oversight to all marketing efforts. The M&D Subcommittee focuses on 4 pillars – Communication, Volunteerism, Enrollment, and Fundraising.
What is length of term? Candidates should serve on the committee for 1-3 years and be able to attend monthly meetings.
