Spelling Bee

Dear Parents,

It’s time to get ready for our St. Anthony of Padua Spelling Bee. We will be conducting our classroom spelling bees in early January with the winners advancing to the school spelling bee which will be held on January 13, 2010. Participation in the spelling bee is voluntary, however we encourage all third through eighth graders to participate.

The National Spelling Bee Committee has created a web site to help students prepare for the spelling bee. The web site is www.myspellit.com You can find study tips on the web site. Your child’s teacher will provide you with the 50 study words for your grade level. The student who wins the school spelling bee will advance to the county spelling bee.
