Students at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School have access to a wide collection of technology tools which help support an interactive learning environment and curriculum in the classrooms. This school is blessed to be able to offer a Computer Lab equipped with 26 student workstations, a teacher work station, a scanner, and multiple printers. Our Technology Department also offers two mobile carts with class sets of laptops and a mobile cart with a class set of iPads available for check out. We utilize the latest digital tools and cutting-edge software to enrich student learning. Programs such as IXL, Renaissance Learning, BrainPOP, and WeVideo are ones that help supplement and support the curriculum for our students. Classrooms are equipped with SMART Boards, computer workstations, iPads, Elmo Document Cameras, printers, and mounted projectors.
In middle school, the students utilize a one-to-one Chromebook program which empowers them to learn at their full potential and to prepare them for the future. In the elementary school classrooms, class sets of iPads are available for the students to enhance their learning in a one to one iPad program. SAOPCS is also fortunate to have a state of the art broadcasting system which streams live video for our Dolphin Network News that airs weekly school wide. Our technology program fosters the development of responsible life-long learners and users of technology as we navigate and create 21st Century classrooms with the technology tools available to each student.
Please Note: The Chromebook Video will help answer your questions regarding our Middle School Chromebook program for the 2020-2021 school year.
